Established on the basis of the high needs of chemistry teachers in West Kalimantan, based on the Decree of higher education No. 178 / D / T / 2003, dated January 30, 2003 and signed by Satryo Soemantri Brodjonegoro as Director General of Higher Education, a Chemistry Education Study Program was formed in the Department of PMIPA FKIP Untan. The Chemistry Education Study Program obtained the second accreditation certificate in 2014 with an accreditation rating of B based on the BAN-PT Decree Number 176/BAN-PT/Akred/S/VI/2014
